HD Projectors

Projectors for a home cinema had always been considered a bit of a pointless product to own in the past. Quality wasn’t great on these old projectors, a lot more space was needed to set them up and mainly they were extremely expensive and power intensive, people got by using the trusty known TV.

However in this new era of massive technology growth we have seen the likes of projectors and TVs reduce in price massively and improve in quality and included technologies. One of the defining changes has been “HD” or “high definition”, this technology has brought around increased resolutions and improved the viewing experience on most TVs.

Now this phase has proved so successful and lucrative HD has been combined into the increasingly popular projector market to give us the aptly named “HD projector”. HD projectors are getting an increasing reputation however as they are such a change from viewing programs, playing games and watching films on the known format of a television the public are a lot slower at taking up the new style projector. Apart from viewing quality improvement, HD projectors have many other highly useful pros.

To begin with price is no longer an issue when competing with the TV market. A good 40inch TV from a respected manufacturer will set you back £400 however an HD projector with quality resolution which can fit on a massive white screen or project to a wall will cost you a similar amount! This also leads on to portability, the bigger the TV the heavier and less portable it is. HD projectors are all a similar size no matter what the quality, they are fairly light weight making moving them a simpler job. The bottom line is this – if you’re considering buying a new TV or projector for a home cinema be sure to check out the idea of an HD projector, you’ll save money and have a whole new gadget to show off to the family.
